QUESTIONS?
- Are prices negotiable/ is there a discount rate? No, pricing is firm. All prices reflect my training, kit costs, skill set, tools, and time.
- Do you offer airbrush makeup? No, at this time I only offer traditional makeup application. I prefer the look and feel of my brushes/ sponges, and traditional makeup.
- How do you clean your products/ tools? Sanitation is so important! I use a multi-step process to clean not only my brushes and tools, but my products as well! Brushes are deep cleaned (water/brush soap), and finished off with 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Powder products are sprayed with alcohol, and any cream products are taken out using a stainless steel spatula and tray. Disposable mascara wands and lip wands are also used. Hair stylists also follow standard Cosmetology cleaning procedures.
- I have a lot of people needing makeup, can you accommodate? Yes! I have done bridal parties of 12 people before. We just need to have time management in place. For parties larger than 12, I require a second artist. Hair stylists can also work larger parties, but a second hair stylist may also be required.
- Do you also offer hair services? Yes! While makeup is my primary focus, I have a hair stylist who is available for booking hair as well!
- Do I need to do a trial run? I strongly encourage you to book a trial run. This is a great time to meet face-to-face, and go in depth about your skin type, makeup preferences, and to nail down your desired makeup look. It's also perfect to book your makeup & hair trials together!
- Can I/ should I bring my own makeup? Only under extreme circumstances will I use your own makeup (severe allergies, etc). My insurance only covers products within my own kit, so for safety reasons, I use makeup from there only.
- What brand of makeup do you use? I use many! People have a wide variety of skin types and features. In order to accommodate all of those, I use a wide range of brands! Anything from MAC, Makeup Forever, and Estee Lauder, to Charlotte Tilbury.
- Are lashes included in the price? Yes- they absolutely are!
- How far in advance should I book? Like other wedding vendors, we typically book about a year in advance. Peak season wedding dates are typically May through October. During those months, we book a year or more in advance.
- What can I expect on my wedding day? I/ we will arrive a bit early to our determined start time to ensure I am setup and ready to go. From there, I will work with each client receiving services to create a custom look for them. Of course, I will take a bit of extra time with the bride to make sure things are perfect! I bring with me: a full makeup kit, chair, table, and lighting system. I prefer to setup near a window or natural light for best results. Hair stylists bring: a stool/ chair, suitcase of tools, and will require outlets.
